Headteacher's Blog

Dear Parents, Carers and Friends

We looked after 13 children again in school today.

Just a reminder that on Friday I wrote to our Year 11 students and also put something in the Newsletter to mark the time GCSE examinations would start and the time Year 11 would formally leave the school.  I said how sad I was about the prom not taking place at its usual time.  I didn’t make it clear that we had promised Year 11 could still have a prom if that's what people wanted, and if it can be organised safely, at some point.  Sorry for any confusion.

The DfE has aalso reminded us that the government has announced that anyone with symptoms of coronavirus is now eligible to book a test, ahead of the rollout of the test and trace service. Anyone experiencing a new, continuous cough; high temperature; or a loss of, or change, in their normal sense of smell or taste (anosmia) can book a test.

Let's hope none of us need it.
