Dear Parents, Carers and Friends

We held the Year 11 Prizegiving ceremony on Wednesday night. The Year 11 students received their GCSE and BTEC certificates and some were also awarded subject and attendance prizes. The guest of honour was Mr Stephen Croft, our Chair pf Governors and the evening was presided over by Mr Brian Davis, supported by Mrs Dawn Briston.  We were also lucky enough to hear two musical pieces, the first by Foxton Brown and the second by Ruth Smith.  The Year 11 students were a lovely group of students and they achieved the school’s highest ever GCSE scores for progress, putting the school in the top third of schools nationally on this measure.

Two special prizes were also given out:  The Natalia Wiley Memorial Award for Hair and Beauty to Chloe Steele, and the Judith Prickett Memorial Award for contribution to the community to Alice Rose.
