Dear Parents, Carers and Friends We are now open and today (Friday) feels like a normal school day with most staff and students making it in. Dear Parents, Carers and Friends

Really proud of our sixth form team and their teacher Miss Hornby who performed so well in the Aura Amphora Young Enterprise competition against tough opposition from the public and private sector.

Richard Bramley

On Monday 27th March a group of 7 sixth form students attended the Young Enterprise York area competition at the Novotel in York. Aura Amphora had to set up their trade stand; attended a formal interview with a team of 5 judges; and present their company report in front of all teams; judges and invited guests. Alice and Taylor were nervous before their speech however they didn’t show it; they spoke with confidence and professionalism. Then came the award ceremony; where Aura Amphora was awarded with two awards; the first was for ‘Best Financial Management’ from The Merchant’s Adventurer’s York. The second award was ‘Runner up for Best Company’ awarded by the Novotel. They did an absolutely amazing job and are now in the North Yorkshire Final Competition on Wednesday 10th May. I want to congratulate all the members of the team: Taylor Asquith; Alice Lishman; Lydia Coote; Beth Flinton; Courtney Lockwood; Charisse Charlton & Michael Kipling. Well done team you did yourselves and the school proud. Miss Hornby.
