Dear Parents, Carers and Friends

We finished the term with a lovely Key Stage 3 assembly including songs from the school choir, a song written and performed by the Year 10 GCSE music group and a rousing singalong of Jingle Bells and Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer.  Hannah Woodward (head girl) led the singing ably accompanied by Jonnie Bayes who popped into the assembly during his Government and Politics lesson.  We also had a pop-up house competition where the winners were the house that sung a chorus of ‘Rudolph’ the loudest (scientifically measured by a science department decibel meter).   Mrs Phippen is to be congratulated for her enthusiasm during the assembly and a huge thank you to Mrs Preedy-Edmondes who prepared the performers so well.  It has been a good term and the staff and students deserve the winter break.  I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
